All About Me

My name is Tracyann Stewart, and I am currently a student in the Early Childhood Education program at Durham College, where I will be finishing my studies in the summer of 2026.

I have had the pleasure of working with children for the past 6 years, and I am very passionate about creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive environments where all children feel they belong. I believe in open communication, building strong relationships, and supporting each child’s individual needs, strengths, and development.

I enjoy working with both mainstream children and children with additional needs, and I use a calm, patient, and supportive approach to behaviour management. I focus on clear routines, positive reinforcement, and individualized strategies to help children feel secure and successful in their learning environment.

In my practice, I enjoy using play-based learning and hands-on activities to support children’s growth. I also enjoy incorporating my interests in nature and crafting to create meaningful and engaging experiences for children.

Overall, I am committed to supporting the whole child and working collaboratively with families and educators to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and supported in their learning journey.
